home - domain - hosting hosting I have waaaaay too much diskspace and bandwidth for this site only available, so I'm renting (giving!) parts of it! Looking for a space to host your (small) site? Then read on! So yeah, I would like to host your site if it's worthy, doesn't make too much bandwidth and your site-content is by the rules. So please read all of this before contacting me :) I'm willing to host: + Weblogs/Journals + Small personal sites I won't host: - Download (MP3/Video/anything else) sites - Bandwidth consumers - Forums - Adult sites If you're not sure if you apply to there restrictions, please contact me. There might be a chance I'll allow your site. :) Please also read these simple rules! + You should know how to make webpages, and create a lay-out. You don't have to be a superstar in designing/making a lay-out, but you should know how to make decent sites. - Don't use templates. Please, make your own work so you can be proud of it. + Have some know-how of FTP, since that's how you'll have to upload your site. If I'm in a good mood, I might tell you how to use it. :) - Don't direct-link. That means, don't upload pictures (or anything else for that matter) to your space on my server, and access it from another site (e.g. a forum-avatar/signature). I can track it, and if I see you breaking this rule, I'll kick you from my server. :( + Link back to me! You're using up my space, so it'll be nice if you show some appreciation! - Don't steal other peoples work. Be original, write your own content and make you own lay-out. It might take time, but the result is gonna be something you can be proud of. :) + Update once a while. That is, about once in two weeks. I don't like hosting dead sites, because that's a waste of space. If you're not able to update, please let me know. - No breezerish/AIM/l33ttalk. I hate it. And if you use it, I'll hate you too. Please make your site in normal English or Dutch (Nederlands). It doesn't have to be perfect (mine isn't either), but I guess the point is clear. + If you already have your site online, please let me see it! This way I can rate it worthy or non-worthy to be hosted. - Don't make your site bandwidth-consuming. Use compressed pictures (jpeg quality 80 for example), don't autoplay backgroundmusic (or even better, don't use it at all), etc. + If you donate to paypal@mkwiakaku.net, there's a pretty big chance your site will be allowed (hint hint). If you're allowed to use some of my space, you'll get the following: - 40 MB webspace (you might want to try to beg for more...) - http://yourname.mkwiakaku.net (or even your own domain if you pay for it) - FTP access - PHP4 or PHP5! - 1 MySQL database - Forwarding e-mail: yourname@mkwiakaku.net - Someone who'll bug you to update your site (that'll be me) To contact me, please fill out the form below. If I don't reply after a few weeks, try it again. I'll always reply (unless you bug me too often, and you keep getting declined), so if you don't get a reply from me, it has to mean the form thingie didn't work. :) You might want to know that any site that has something to do with my interests gets a higher chance of getting accepted. ;) Sites I'm currently hosting Team Alpha Omega |
