home - domain - past lay-outs past lay-outs You should view this page bottom-up, because the oldest lay-out is at the bottom, and the latest at the top. Reading it the normal way would take you back in time! Hah, time travelling... ![]() MKwiakaku~ July 2005 - October 2005 Intentionally a weblog for my vacation to Italy. And that was about all it was. The background featured Celica from Beatmania IIDX, a music game by konami. Pink/purple because people were requesting that color... I made the site in like.. 3 days, because I went on a holiday, and the site had to be a holiday-blog for the home-stayers. It was hosted by MrDummy, and not really on a real domain. MKwiakaku.tk was it back then. But because it's the prequel of MKwiakaku.net, I added it too. After I came back from Italy, the site pretty much died... ![]() DJ Taka - Colors December 2004 - present The latest (and current) version of Eatenbrains is based on the song Colors by DJ Taka. It's completely made with html only (no css or whatever). On a midwinter day I got bored and played with some html. If you know some html, you should check the source code. Go to eatenbrains.com to see it in action! ![]() ~Eatenbrains.com - version [5] #299C9C 5th September 2004 - December 2004 Skipping version 4?! Yup, as this is actually the fifth lay-out, I named it the fifth. It was a really spiffy one, with, once again, no contents. I am a sucker for writing contents. Anyhow, the background image was made with 3D Studio Max 5. Looks cool, not? And that's about all I can say about this lay-out. Guess I'm still a sucker for writing contents. Oh yeah, that #299C9C was the html-code for the color used. Nice color. :) ![]() Eatenbrains.com v.3 = Eternal Snow *** 22th August 2004 - 5th September 2004 Huh? Another version 3?! Myeah, for some reason I didn't make it version 4, because the original version 3 wasn't really released. It was based on the song "Eternal Snow", sung by Changin' My Life, and featured in the anime Full Moon wo Sagashite. I liked FMwS a lot, so I decided to make it the lay-out. It ended up to be a single page saying this would be the lay-out until the next version would be finished. On the right side you could read the lyrics, which were japanese. And that's basicly it. Viewing it now I see I didn't upload the picture for the top-right part... Wait... I don't even remember making it. Oh well.. The only picture on the site looks cute enough to compensate that. ![]() Eatenbrains.com version 3 - Maaya Sakamoto 21th May 2004 - 22th August 2004 And once again a never-to-be-finished-site made by yours truly. Actually it wasn't even released. It's based on the song 'Another Grey Day In The Big Blue World' by Maaya Sakamoto. I really really really like this song. As for the lay-out, I Paint Shop Pro 7'ed a photo of Maaya Sakamoto, created an iframe lay-out and I was done! It was a pretty nice lay-out when I look at it now, but back then I didn't like it all that much. You don't see it in the resized flashback picture above, but behind the text-area there was a faded mirror-image of the left Maaya. You could also see some text if you looked closely. It was actually the lyric of the song, but you couldn't really read it because there was always some text hovering above it. The text beneath the menu says "and now she wakes to another grey day in the big blue world", obviously from the song as well. ![]() Eatenbrains.com v.2 ~ the bitch is watching you 24th April 2004 - 21th May 2004 The second lay-out, featuring Aidian as the bitch. It's a pretty minimalistic site, with only 2 graphics. I liked it, back to basics and stuff. But again, the site was pretty wide. About 950 pixels! So again scrolling-hell for 800x600 users. Although the text lined out pretty well in the middle no matter what resolution you used. It was a completed site (wow!), which took me about a day or so. I typed in a weird way. Like you were entering my domain (I called it world), and I took you on a journey or something. It had nothing special except for some info about me, the domain and credits. But I still liked it. :) ![]() Eatenbrains.com v.1 ~ Random 19th March 2004 - 24th April 2004 My first site was Eatenbrains.com. Well.. The first one with its own domain. I never got to finish it. As you can see it's a light site. I just tried some effects with Paint Shop Pro 7, and this was the result. There were some down-sides with this lay-out. The huge filesize and big resolution of the background for example. It was 1000 by 675 pixels! Hell for 800x600 users. The text at the bottom says "In a world where we're all different, does it matter something is not specified?". No, it isn't a quote from someone (at least, as far as I know), but I made it up myself. Don't have a clue how I came up with it, though. |
