me and music

Let me tell you something about my musical preference, and some other musical projects I've been in.

First, my musical preference... which doesn't exist. I don't really prefer anything. I listen to almost every kind of music... almost. The only thing I refuse to listen to are those croon songs. Yuck, I hate those. For everything else, I'm open to it, and will probably like it too. Yes, that includes classical, trance, hardcore, nu-metal, R&B, new-age, eurodance, gothic and whatnot.
The kind of music I listen completely depends on my mood. If I feel calm, I listen to new-age (Enigma, mostly). If I feel like crushing everything, I listen to hardcore (SharpnelSound). If I feel lovey-dovey, I listen to 80's/90's lovesongs. etc etc...

Besides that, I do have some favorite arists in every category. I really like Enigma, especially their song 'Gravity of Love'. I think that's the best song ever made. Furthermore I listen a lot to eurobeat. You should check some sites about this genre in the links-section of my site. :) As for R&B, I like R. Kelly's music a lot. The other R&B music is pretty sucky, but R. Kelly's music is really cool. :D

And yeah... also a lot of asian (Japanese, Korean) music can be found in my playlist. I won't pester you with a huge list of great artists... so I won't. :P

Next to listening to music, I once was in a project called 'jonge programmeurs', which translates to 'young programmers'. I, together with 4 other teenagers (age 15-19), was told to organise a set of 4 concerts in a small concert hall. With a small budget it was our task to 'lure' teens to the 'Muziekcentrum' [trans. 'Music centre'] (now known as 'Toonzaal' [trans. 'Showroom', with 'Toon' being a synonym for 'note']). I had to select the artists, make agreements, recieve them here, etc etc everything. It was a pretty cool experience, except for the fact that there is no pop music allowed in the 'Muziekcentrum'. The thing closest to it is jazz, or experimental stuff. Youngsters don't go to those concerts nowadays, so the crowd ended up to be boring old geezers. :P Not really what we wanted, but I was cool nonetheless :)
